Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These terms govern use of the YoShule school-management platform ("the Service") operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME — to be completed before launch] ("we", "us"). By creating a school tenant or signing in to an account a school has created for you, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
YoShule provides school administration software: student records, academics, finance, HR, timetabling, medical records, library, assets, and related modules. The features available to you depend on your school's configuration and your role.
2. Your school's data
Schools own their data. Everything a school enters into YoShule — student records, finance, medical records, staff data — belongs to the school, not to us.
- The school is the data controller; we process data only to operate the Service on the school's behalf, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We use vetted sub-processors (currently Google Cloud, Resend, and — with user consent — Google Analytics). Schools can request our Data Processing Agreement.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not use school data for advertising.
3. Accounts and responsibilities
- School administrators are responsible for who they invite, the roles they assign, and keeping their staff list current.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Tell your administrator or us immediately if you suspect your account is compromised.
- Schools are responsible for the lawfulness of the data they enter — including obtaining guardian consent where required. YoShule provides consent-capture tools to help (see Guardian consent).
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Access data of a school or student you are not authorised for, or probe or circumvent access controls.
- Use the Service to store or distribute unlawful content, or to harass or harm any person.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service (e.g. attempting to overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt it).
We may suspend accounts that put other users' data at risk.
5. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and to fix faults promptly, but the Service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Support is available via the in-app Support section and info@yoshule.com.
6. Fees
Where a school has a paid subscription, fees, billing cycle, and payment terms are set out in the school's subscription agreement or order form.
7. Termination, export, and deletion
- A school may terminate at any time. On request we will provide an export of the school's data in a commonly used format.
- After termination we will delete the school's tenant data within a reasonable period, except where law requires retention. Rolling backups expire on schedule.
- We may terminate or suspend a tenant for material breach of these terms that remains uncured after notice.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees paid by the school in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app with reasonable notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Contact and governing law
Questions about these terms: info@yoshule.com. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
