Dashboard → Finance → Accounts lists every bank account, cash float, and mobile money account the school holds, each with its running balance. Open one to see its transactions or edit its details.

Adding an account

  1. Click New Account.
  2. Pick a type — Bank Account, Cash Float, Mobile Money, or Other. The form asks for a bank name and account number, or a provider and phone number, to match.
  3. Optionally mark it as the default account for that type — the one payments and expenses fall back to when no account is chosen explicitly.
  4. Click Create Account.

Tick Show inactive to also include accounts that have been deactivated — in the list and in the report. Their past transactions stay on the record; they just no longer appear as a choice when recording new payments, expenses, or movements.

Account Report

The Report tab turns the same accounts into a statement for a date range: opening balance, money in, money out, and closing balance, per account and totalled.

  1. Switch to the Report tab.
  2. Pick a Period — This Month, Last Month, Last 30 Days, This Year, or a custom From/To range.
  3. Optionally narrow to a single Account; leave it on "All accounts" for every account side by side.
  4. Click Export CSV to download the statement shown.

Opening balance is every credit minus every debit recorded before the period start — not a stored snapshot — so it stays correct even for backdated entries. Closing balance is opening balance plus the period's activity.

If your accounts are held in more than one currency, the summary tiles add the raw figures together without converting them. Read the per-account rows in that case — each one is labelled with its own currency.
