A subject teacher is assigned per stream. Each stream of a class has at most one teacher for each subject — the person who enters that stream's marks for it. Two streams of the same class can have different Maths teachers.
Before you start
- The subject is assigned to the class (Dashboard → Class Subjects).
- The class has at least one active stream. A class with no streams cannot have subject teachers — see Assign class teachers to streams.
Steps
- Go to Dashboard → Class Subjects, or Dashboard → HR → Staff and the Subject assignments tab.
- Find the class subject and click Add (or Assign teacher).
- Search for the teacher.
- Tick the streams they take the subject in, or All streams.
- Click Assign.
The Teachers column lists each teacher once, with a chip per stream. Click the × on a chip to take the teacher off that stream only.
Rules
- One teacher per subject per stream. A stream someone else already teaches shows their name and cannot be ticked. Remove them from that stream first.
- All streams means the streams that exist now. A stream added later has no subject teachers until you assign them.
- A teacher can take the same subject in several streams, and different subjects in different streams.
A yellow All streams · not split chip is an assignment made before teachers were recorded per stream, on a subject that had more than one teacher. It still covers every stream. Remove it and assign each teacher to their own streams.
