Dashboard → Requirements opens on the clearance matrix — one row per student, one column per active requirement for the term shown at the top right. Students load a page at a time rather than all at once, so the matrix opens the same whether the school has forty students or four thousand.

Defining the requirements themselves is a separate screen: Manage requirements, top right — see Setting up term requirements.

Finding a student

  1. Type a name or student ID into the search box. The matrix reloads as you type and searches the whole roll, not just the students on screen.
  2. Click Filters for the class and stream filters. The search and the filters apply together.
  3. Each filter you apply shows as a chip beside the button, whether the panel is open or shut. Remove one with its ✕, or use Clear all.

The search matches first, middle, and last name, the student ID, and the guardian's name. Typing two words requires both to appear somewhere in the name, so "Okello P4" will not match — use the class filter for that.

Marking a requirement cleared

Tick the box in the student's row under the requirement. It saves immediately — there is no separate save button. A requirement scoped to another class, stream, or department shows N/A for students it does not apply to.

Fee-payment requirements are validated against the student's invoices and cannot be ticked by hand; they clear themselves once the required share of the term's fees is paid.

If the term has no active requirements the matrix says so instead of showing an empty grid, and an admin or headmaster can go straight to Manage requirements from there.
