A new school cannot open the dashboard until YoShule has reviewed it. Add
the school at Add a school (/add-school) — first say whether you are
the Director or the Headteacher, then fill in the school. YoShule then
opens School verification (/verification) with that school selected.
The dashboard stays closed until status is Verified. Directors and head
teachers send the evidence for their own identity. Other staff see the same
page without the forms.
If you already belong to another school, the tenant switcher stays on this page. A verified school opens the dashboard; a school still in review stays here.
Before you start
- You are the founding director or head teacher for the school.
- You have the MoE / EMIS registration number, the MoE certificate, and your name, NIN, contact details, and ID document. URSB paperwork is optional. The other role's identity is not collected here.
Steps
- After you create the school, YoShule opens School verification. The heading shows the current state. Reviews typically finish within two working days.
- Fill in the MoE number and upload the MoE certificate (PDF, JPEG, or PNG, up to 10 MB).
- Fill in your name, NIN, phone and email on the Director or Headteacher card (whichever you chose), and upload the ID document. Name and email are prefilled from your account when the card is empty. The NIN is stored for review and is not shown again after you save — the page only records that it is on file.
- URSB number and certificate are optional.
- Click Send for review (or Resubmit for review if a reviewer asked for more). Completeness is the reviewer's call; you can send an incomplete set.
- If the reviewer asks for more, their note appears on the page verbatim and in an email to the school contact plus the director and head teacher. Update what they asked for and resubmit. The note stays until a later review writes a newer one. A verify or reject decision is emailed the same way, with a link back to this page.
If the application is not approved, you can still update the details and resubmit. If access has been withdrawn, this page is terminal — contact YoShule at the address shown rather than creating a second school.
